Long time, no see! It’s been a while and I apologize, which is funny because I always tell myself I’m not going to apologize if it’s been a while because I have a life outside this blog, and obviously life comes first. But either way… I’m sorry!
BUT! I have a post for you WITH MY DOG. I figured it was time to officially introduce her. She’s my best friend in the whole world. (Sorry Sami, Bre & Joy…) And she’s pretty flipping amazing.
Look at that adorable derpy face. Gosh I love it. She’s a golden, and she’s SUCH a love. You honestly will not find a dog who loves people more than Bailey. I’ve had so many people come to the house, say they aren’t dog people, and when they leave ask if they can take her home!
Also, she totally crashed my shoot in my front lawn, and I’m totally okay with it. I’m in the middle of trying to convince everyone that she should be in the wedding next June. We don’t have a ring bearer, so she could easily fill that vacancy.
But enough about my dog. (Lol, jk I’m going to keep talking about her later.) Let’s talk outfits. This is one of my favorite transitional outfits from summer into fall. I always feel like I end up dressing warmer in the summer than expected because I’m inside air-conditioned buildings so much. So while others are chilling in their cute shorts and tanks, I’m eternally an ice block and keep my jeans at the front of my closet.
The jeans I have on are from cabi, are we surprised? Literally 90% of my closet is that brand and I’m completely okay with it. Actually the entire outfit is cabi with the exception of the accessories. Can I just obsess over this sweater for a minute? It’s so bright. So cheery. I’m like a flipping ray of sunshine everywhere I go.
Also, denim shirts. I love them. I’m actually wearing one right now as I type. I’m a firm believer that you can never have enough denim shirts in your closet, especially when they’re button down. They’re perfect in any season because in summer you can use them as a lightweight jacket, and in winter you can layer them under a sweater with a heavy jacket. This one is from the spring cabi line, I love the contrast of the light denim with the dark threads that are embroidered into the top.
So essentially denim shirts need to be your new best friend. (Or is that dogs that are supposed to be your new best friend?)
Oh look. I’m excited to see my dog rushing at me. (This was about 6 seconds before she knocked over my tripod with my camera on it…) Oh well I still love her.
Also you guys. SHE GIVES HUGS. See? I told you she was amazing. She also smiles which is both hilarious and terrifying all at the same time.
I layered my jewelry and I wanted to add even more interest so I wrapped my jade pendant necklace around my wrist until it fit like a bracelet. I’m wearing it with some of my Stella & Dot jewelry. Also, #casualengagementringshot and #baileyneedsacutercollar.
Okay friends, that’s all for this adorable dog-filled post! I need to start including Bailey in more of my photos.
