For the first stop on my dress journey I’m taking ya’ll to Manchester!
I went to Manchester for a Saturday trip with some friends to audition for Star Wars.
I auditioned for Star Wars.
Am I even a HUGE fan of Star Wars?
But hey it’s a story I can tell my kids one day right?
“Yes children, I was considered to be the next Princess Leia.”
Since I auditioned that basically makes me an honorary Disney Princess now right?? (Since Lucas Films was… never mind, I’m not opening that can of worms on my blog)
After the audition we wandered the city of Manchester until our bus arrived at the station.
I found myself in Monsoon.
In a dressing room.
In this gorgeous dress.
You can’t see the bottom, but it cuts off at my knees
The detailing on the top where it’s sheer reminded me of something Chanel-esque (Fall ’13)
The back of the dress has box pleats which made the dress really flowy.
Here’s a closer pic of the neck detailing. The clusters of gems are so beautiful! You can kind of see the little arrow underneath, that was a Christmas gift from my lovely sister!
I also love the little pom pom detail on the sleeves!
My FAVORITE watch of all time. This was a gift from my other sister last year and I’ve worn it a TON!
So yes, that is the first dress in my Around the World in 80(ish) Dresses series!
I hope you enjoyed it! I have some other posts that will be up soon!
I miss you all tons, and I hope next semester I can get the blog up and running a bit more!
