Sometimes before I go to bed I like to watch something a bit mindless to help me wind down for the evening. I started watching The Hills… but I could not get into it. Plot-less, scripted reality shows jut really aren’t my thing. I was chatting with my sister Trish about it and she said that I might like Gossip Girl.
Well for one thing there is for sure a plot. Confusing? A bit. I only have seen the first three episodes, and apart for the fashion there’s nothing really holding me to the show. Plus that Chuck guy is such a creep.
Even though I’ve only watched three episodes, a bit of Blare’s(Blaire??) fashion sense seems to be rubbing off on me. I threw together this outfit for church the other day and it wasn’t until I looked in the mirror that I realized that it was probably something that Blare would wear.
Sidenote: Also, it was a beautiful day out… The sun was actually shining here in England! WHAT!? So I decided that I should wear my vintage glasses that I purchased while in York! I purchased them at a super cute vintage store called Bowler Vintage a few weekends ago. Maybe I’ll put a post up about it soon.
The skirt, tights and boots are the same as the post from when I was at the Carnforth train station.
The blouse is actually a cami. I love the print because I can wear it in Fall, Winter or Summer. It looks great paired with skinny jeans or tucked into a skirt like I have it here.
Even though it was gorgeous out, it was still a bit crisp so I tossed on a boiled wool CAbi jacket that my mom let me take from her sample rack right before I left for school. This jacket is so cute. I love how Carol (the designer for CAbi) can take such simple materials and make a gorgeous structured jacket from it. You should see what she does with sweatshirt material!
The hat… I LOVE that so many people here in the UK wear hats and they make it look effortless. I know I can pull off hats, but usually forget and don’t bother to wear/buy one. I also picked this one up in York this past weekend. I love it, what do you think?
Something that was on my Fall wishlist (that I never got around to posting because I am lazy and also since the old castle wifi didn’t load blogger…) was a gold chain necklace. I found this one at H&M. It wasn’t exactlywhat I was looking for, but I still liked it enough to try it out! I really do like it!
Let’s take a moment to talk about those rings. They are so cool. That’s pretty much all I need to say about them.
Yes I’ve officially joined the knuckle ring club.
So I’ve hopped on numerous bandwagons since I’ve seen you last… Gossip Girl… (for three episodes and that’s it…) The funky sunnies…. Chunky gold necklaces…. Slightly oversized hats and not to mention the knuckle ring bandwagon. I feel like I’m now apart of some cool club. Random fact: I always was starting clubs when I was a kid… “Babysitters club” “Disney Pin Collector’s club” “Webkinz club” “Bookworm club” Yep… That was me.
So what do you think about the bandwagons I mentioned? To ring the knuckles or not?
