Please excuse the awkwardness of the photos, I had the camera on self-timer… Also, excuse the dirt on my knees, I was kneeling trying to situate the camera properly!
the gorgeous La Rocca Vineyard – Bed & Breakfast!
Take this skirt for example. I consider it one of the wisest pieces I’ve ever purchased. It was a bit pricey, around 25 pounds from Topshop, but since I’ve purchased it I’ve probably worn it around a dozen times. To me that is a piece of clothing that is worth the investment.
There are several things that contributed to the convincing of myself to purchase this skirt…
#1) It’s elastic waist. That means I can eat as much gelato as I want and it will still fit… Which is good because I’ve eaten a LOT of gelato as of late.
Also, please excuse the awkward camera angle… But hey, if you’re not awkward, chances are you’re probably not awesome.
#2) It’s plain denim (and stretchy denim) – This means that it literally goes with any and every shirt I own. Outfit combination possibilities? 47256247…. (Only kidding, I don’t own that many tops… *cough*)
I’ve been able to wear it numerous times on Spring Break with a different top each time and it looks like an entirely new outfit.
Yes mom, I’m barefoot. Please don’t kill me.
#3) It can be worn high or low. – In these pictures I’m wearing it higher on my waist, thus the scandalous amount of pasty white leg showing. But since it’s elastic waist (see #1) I can wear it lower slung on my hips so that it’s a knee length skirt.
I’m not sure what was so exciting over to my right…

#6) It’s A-Line & it’s COMFY! – It was probably already implied in the previous points but this skirt is SO comfortable! I love the A-Line cut… It’s my favorite cut of a skirt of a dress, closely followed by a pencil skirt cut. I always find that A-Line skirts are extremely flattering on me. They’re usually flattering on most body styles too!
