Happy 4th (5th) of July!

Soooo remember that time I had a fashion blog? Annnnd then remember that time I actually posted on it…? Ooops.  Sorry friends, turns out moving back from England really takes it out of you. (As is I went to a Lady Gaga concert sort of “takes it out of you”) BUT! I have an excuse! I have a job.  So yeah, that’s why my life is crazy.  This is the second to last in the “England series” of blog shoots… Very sad.
I had this outfit in mind for a few months. My friend Alex (the one who
always does my hair because she’s so cool) let me peek into her wardrobe a few months ago and I fell in love with her bicycle skirt the moment I saw it.
She even suggested mixing my striped shirt with it. So flipping cute.
(Side note, I now realized I pronounce “striped” like “stri-ped” not in one syllable, is it a English thing to do?)
After the whole outfit was put together, I felt like I was channeling my inner Taylor Swift. (So I obnoxiously started singing 22 to Meredith who took the photos)
No I have never had breakfast at midnight or fallen in love with a stranger. Who even serves breakfast at midnight in Green Bay? Is ihop open that late? (If you know the answer to these things, please let me know)
BUT! We did just get a Dunkin’ Donut here. Yes please. I am so excited! We haven’t had a donut shop since Krispy Kreme… Apparently a city that can manage to fill 80k seats at Lambeau field every weekend come football season can’t support one donut shop. I guess they thought they would give it another go.
Back to the outfit, I’m pretty sure this is one of the first times while at school that I borrowed someone’s clothing and not worn my own. Which is rather humorous because I am constantly letting other wear my clothing. I find such great joy in letting others use my clothes, and putting together outfits for them.
I think one day there were 8 people wearing my clothing at once. Usually on banquet nights I lend out a lot of dresses. People freaked out on banquet night because I shipped my suitcase home ahead of time and just kept a small one at school.
Well I should go and unpack now.
I’m so excited to be stateside again. This girl missed Red, White & Blue, Target & her Mama.
