Elementary My Dear…

Hey there friends!
A while back I had the chance to do a night shoot with my friend here at Stout. I strategically planned my outfit and the location of the shoot.

The shirt I’m wearing only has primary colors and that really inspired me to have the shoot at a local elementary school.
I decided to
toss on my leather jacket to “toughen up” the look a little bit.

Also, you know those Steve Maddens boots that I used to wear in EVERY. SINGLEPOST?
Well…. They were worn out so much, holes in the leather, the zipper detaching itself from the boot, the insole disintegrating, so my mom and I decided it was time to treat me to a new pair.

The shirt is super special to me because I purchased the same one for Cristian.  We don’t wear it at the same time because in his words “that’s weird…” (Okay okay babe, we don’t have to match) But I still love it no matter what. *cough* maybe we can wear it for an engagement shoot one day *cough*

The skirt I wore in this post is the same one I’m wearing here.  I’ve been able to get a lot of use since I purchased it, so yes it has been a good investment piece.  I love wearing it with warm cozy tights.  Topshop is becoming a larger name in America, and everyone gets excited when I tell them that’s where I purchased it.

I didn’t realize until I started writing this post that it’s a very English outfit, even the necklace is from York!

What do you think about this shoot?  I love it.  I love the pictures by the street light post. So. Flipping. Cool.
