Pretty Dresses & Dapper Men

Hey friends,
So last night was the Oscars.  I didn’t get to watch as much as I had hoped because my sorority meeting ran late… Yay for new bids!
I did manage to catch the Red Carpet interviews and the last hour or so though!
And now, I shall share my thoughts.
Thought #1) Lady Gaga would make a fantastic singing nun… I vote they cast her if they do a remake. I loved her dress, but the couture cleaning gloves weren’t my favorite. But for real… Wasn’t that the BEST PERFORMANCE OF ALL TIME???!
Thought #2) Is Cate Blanchett is the one with

all the recent surgeries? I can’t remember… Well she looks great. And her dress… LOVE.  The raw edges were incredible!

Thought #3) Chloe Moretz was my favorite.  Her movie was awful but those ear cuffs deserved an award.
Thought #4) Eddie Redmayne and his wife look like dark mysterious birds of prey… In a good way.
Thought #5) Emma Stone was in a movie this year? I didn’t even know.
Thought #6) I don’t really know where J’Lo’s dress ends and her skin begins and it’s all just very confusing to me.
Thought #7) Jennifer Aniston still looks like she just walked off the set of Friends. Is she human? I think we’ve made contact with the first gorgeous alien and we’re just to enamored to realize it.
Thought #8) Kiera Knightley is forever Elizabeth Bennet… She’s just as stunning pregnant as she is when she isn’t… And even though people don’t like her dress, I think she looks like a perfume bottle in the best way possible.
Thought #9) Lupita is wearing a dress I basically designed.  Except mine is short and has sleeves… Calvin Klein, I’ll be waiting for a job offer.
Thought #10) Marion, I’m sorry… You kinda looked like a piece of marshmallow sushi.
Thought #11) Oprah… Why were you sitting in the fifth row? Oh wait… It’s probably because people couldn’t see over your cleavage.  Seriously, the girls need to be contained… The after party hasn’t started yet.
Thought #12) Never before has there been so much perfection in one photograph.  I might just print it off and frame it in my room.
Photos “borrowed” from here. They aren’t my original photographs… How cool would it be if they were though? Expect to see me there on the carpet one day.  Mark my words.
What was your favorite or least favorite dress?  Who *really* should have won best actor or actress in your opinion? I want to hear so shout it out in the comments below!

I haven't watched the Oscars in forever. I caught the end of this year's too. I really wanted Michael Keaton to win for Best Actor. I haven't even seen any of the movies in that category, but I just really like Mr. Keaton.

All of the actors nominated did a phenom job. I was rooting for Benedict Cumberbatch… Partly because his name is fun to say, and partly because The Imitation Game was the most incredible movie I've seen in years.

I was a bit disappointed with dress choices this year, there weren't a ton that "WOW-ED" me… And I vote they have Ellen host again. She was incredible. Thanks for the comment!
