How Wes Anderson of You

Hello there old friends!
I hope you are all home safely for the Thanksgiving holiday and able to avoid those annoying questions from relatives asking about your job or relationship status.
“No Uncle Jimmy, I am not married yet…”
“Sorry Great Aunt Kathy, I’m only in my second year at college… So I don’t have a job lined up yet.”
In other news, Cristian and I spent the past weekend in Minneapolis. We went shopping so I could take advantage of the Banana Republic sale, and also find a few gift ideas for him as well. I had been obsessed with this yellow dress since I saw it online, but I wasn’t about to drop $128 on it. Well, with 50% off, you can’t pass it up!
Cristian and I, trying our best to look like we are Wes Anderson characters.
I fell in love with it because of the color. I thought it was so unique and reminded me of the colors Wes Anderson uses his films. Originally I was going to title this post “How Adler of You.” My sister saw the photo above and sent me a text saying it was “adler.” Silly autocorrect. She meant Adorable, but apparently her iPhone doesn’t think the same way she does.
It was freezing, but luckily the blanket was 100% wool. It was super warm and toasty!
I wanted to take some photos in the dress to show you guys, but instead Cristian and I ended up doing a photoshoot together. I am so in love with it!
Cristian being a goon. He was trying to sneak up on me… Apparently he loves photoshoots more than I do.
We took the photos outside the Como Zoo, it was freezing. You may notice how pink my nose and fingers are. I think the temperature on Saturday was in the 20’s. I didn’t care. I had just seen a sloth, aka sat on the bench next to the sloth exhibit for 45 minutes watching it sleep because I’m weird like that. I also had spent the entire day with my lovely fella.
I had to steal a kiss… Or two. But I’ll only post one gross kissing couple photo.
It’s difficult to see, but the locket I’m wearing I had just found the night before at a little craft boutique that was at Bethlehem Baptist Church. The designer took a gorgeous old locket and added a simple appliqué to it that had some rhinestones. It added just enough bling that it made the locket look updated, but it still had that antique charm. I’ll have to post a photo of it on Instagram so you can see it up close!
Part of me laughs when I see Cristian’s face. He has that same contented look when he is finished eating dinner.
Also, can we talk about Cristian’s socks? They’re so stinking fun. I didn’t realize this until last year but he really loves fun, and funky socks. I know what will be some good stocking stuffers this year!
I’ll have to get around to taking more photos of the dress up close so you can see the cute details.
Make sure you eat lots of Turkey, and GO PACK GO!
