Stripes, Studs, & Fur

It’s about time for another outfit post!
Let me introduce you to my favorite dress. (Just ask Cristian or my roommates, I wear it all the time.)
striped dress, knit dress, color block hat, fur vest, furry black vest, aluminum background, Alison Su Photography, lime green, black and white dress, monochromatic,
I’ve always been a stripe girl, my closet is filled with tons of striped shirts, they’re pretty much my default. When I saw this dress pop up on my Instagram feed from Patterns & Pops I knew I had to have it. I was a little bit worried about the sizing since I had never ordered from the website before, but I thought “Heck, why not?” and went for it.

It was like Christmas the day it arrived, and P&P even included the cutest little thank you note and popsicle stick! Talk about adorable branding! If I ever open a shop I want to make sure my customer service is as phenomenal as theirs.

I paired it with (big whoop) my black furry vest again. I told you that I get a ton of use out of it! Also, let’s talk about that gorgeous photo… Again, Alison Su, you never fail to amaze me. I cannot wait to visit Denver again to work with her!
Keeping things simple I added black Capezio tights, they’ve been in my closet for years and they’re the worst and the best tights all at once. Worst, because they suck your tummy in as well as everything else… I guess that’s why they’re called tights. Best, because after said “sucking in” your legs and tummy look great. I wish my legs looked that good everyday.
striped dress, knit dress, color block hat, fur vest, furry black vest, aluminum background, Alison Su Photography, lime green, black and white dress, monochromatic, wood background, model hair, gorgeous, Capezio tights, dance wear, dance tights, Steve Madden, Leather boots, black leather boots, studded, studs, comfy, worn in, broken in,
My shoes. Tried and true. They’re been on the blog a billion times, and they will be on the blog probably another billion times. They’re ratty, scuffed, torn, the heel is peeling, but I don’t think I can ever tear myself away from these gorgeous booties! Steve Madden knows how to make incredible leather boots, so next time you need a pair, make sure they’re from him, you won’t regret it!
That’s pretty much all! Oh and the hat was borrowed from Alison during the photoshoot just for fun, I believe she mentioned it was from Nordstrom’s though!
What patterns are you always drawn towards? Do you have any pieces that you will never throw out?  I want to hear from you!

Maddie

I'm in love with those biker boots! They always give a classic, girly dress a little bit more of an edge! Love it <3
