Hey there friends!
It has been so long since I’ve posted in this series and I’m very excited to finally write in it again. I realized that my dresses don’t need to always be international, and I certainly have purchased plenty of dresses since being abroad.
These photos were from before I chopped my hair off, and a lot of the upcoming posts will feature my “old” hair… (Just a heads up.) I had my eye on a dress similar to this at Anthropologie, but couldn’t justify dropping $150+ on a dress. While I was in San Diego back in January I stopped in one of my favorite boutiques, Eden.
As soon as I saw it I knew that I had to grab it! I love a good shirt dress, and the large checker print really grabbed my attention. Make sure you stop into Eden if you are ever in San Diego. I always make sure to stop in to see if there’s anything I just have to add to my closet.
Over the 4th of July I visited Cristian up where he works in Michigan. Surprisingly I’ve lived in Wisconsin my entire life and I have never made it to Michigan. (Landing in the Detroit airport doesn’t count to me…) It was a quick hour or so drive. Where Cristian works is right on Lake Michigan and it’s absolutely gorgeous.
Because it’s a shirt dress there isn’t a lot of shape, so to make it more patriotic for the 4th I added a red leather belt that my mom gave me from her closet. I love when my mom finds treasures like this one and hands them down to me. From a gorgeous diamond for my engagement ring, to a leather belt, they’re all so special and I’m thankful my mom hands down these awesome gifts to me.
Can’t wait to share all my favorite looks. I have a lot in store for you guys for the month of August!
